Composition
60-70% of methane (CH4) and 30-40% of carbon dioxide (CO2) content. It is produced during anaerobic decomposition of organic matter and is due to bacteria metabolism.
By property, biogas is very similar to lean natural gas. Synonyms for biogas are sewage gas, marsh gas, gobergas, landfill gas etc.
